The renowned Hindustani #classicalvocalists Rajnish & Ritesh Mishra mesmerized the audience at The TonsBridge School on April 13.
Organized under the aegis of #SPICMACAY and compered by Anushka Rawat, the programme began with Saanvi Joshi enlightening the students about SPIC MACAY, followed by Muskan Mittal introducing the artistes of the day. After the Chairman Mr. Vijay Nagar had formally welcomed the artists with bouquets and garlands, the ceremonial lamp was lit.
The Mishra brothers began their performance with a song “Sa sundar, re sundar ga bhi sundar hai…..”, asking the #students to join them in singing it.
They then presented a composition in Raag Bhairavi “Maihar ki nazar…..”.
After fielding some questions from the audience, the duo ended their performance with a bhajan “He Govind, raakho sharnaa ….”.
The programme concluded with the School’s Chairman presenting the performers with a memento each and the Director Mr. Shailendra Benjamin proposing the vote of thanks.
